Choose the promenade for a relaxed drink and a walk by the sea. Marina Salinas makes more sense for cocktails, terraces and a later evening. Chiringuitos are more about beach atmosphere, usually from daytime into the earlier evening.

The seafront gives you many terraces and bars without locking you into one venue. It is the easy option if you want a drink after dinner and still want to stay by the water.

Official tourism information highlights Marina Salinas as an evening area with pubs and terraces, especially in summer. If the night is likely to run later, it is a more logical base than a quiet beach promenade.
Paseo del Mar and current examples
Paseo del Mar brings together restaurants, cafés, ice-cream shops and terraces at the harbour. The official directory also lists examples such as Ramë Restaurant & Cocktails Bar and seasonal chiringuitos including Kiosko Pura Vida and Costa Canalla.
Why no '10 best bars'?
Bars change concept, opening times and seasonal operation faster than beaches or landmarks. We would rather give you a useful area and a few current examples than leave a long stale ranking online for years.
