What happens at Torrerífico?

The festival screens the short-film competition finalists. Competitions, cosplay guests and prize draws are also announced. The organisers invite visitors to wear horror costumes; the announcement does not make dressing up a condition of entry.

The venue is the auditorium of Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen, Calle del Mar 28. The published start time is 16:30; the announcements checked do not give a separate doors-open time or a fixed finish time. Check the organiser's latest information before travelling.

Can you follow the films without Spanish?

The competition rules allow Spanish and Valencian; films in other languages must have subtitles in one of those languages. English or German subtitles are not guaranteed. Check the selected programme if following the dialogue matters to you. Enjoying visual horror is a different experience from watching a film in your own language.

Check the programme before bringing children

Horror films may go well beyond a light-hearted Halloween atmosphere. The checked sources do not state a binding audience age rating. The minimum age of 14 in the competition rules applies to entrants, not viewers. Our advice: choose something else for younger children; for teenagers, ask the organiser about content and admission rules first. Free entry does not guarantee an available seat.
