Accessible Torrevieja: which beaches and routes are officially adapted?
A useful accessibility guide needs specific services rather than a vague “accessible” label. Torrevieja’s official tourism information lists adapted beach access, assisted bathing and several largely accessible waterfront routes.
Where is assisted bathing available?
Turismo Torrevieja lists La Mata, Cabo Cervera, Los Locos, Los Náufragos, Playa del Cura and the bathing areas at Paseo Juan Aparicio. The service is listed from 15 June to 15 September and requires advance booking on 670 563 022.
Individual beach pages also describe features such as ramps or walkways, adapted toilets and reserved areas depending on the location.
Which promenades are useful?
Juan Aparicio, Vista Alegre and Dique de Levante are highlighted by the tourism office as particularly relevant accessible waterfront routes. They make it possible to combine sea views with the town without turning the day into a beach visit.
A realistic accessibility note
Officially adapted does not mean every surface, gradient or kerb will suit every wheelchair or mobility need. If a specific barrier matters to your trip, confirm the exact location with the operator or Tourist Info before travelling.
