Parking in Torrevieja: what is actually open in 2026.
For a short visit, Ramón Gallud is an option: from 15 September, parking on working days between 08:00 and 20:00 is limited to two hours. For a longer stay, consider the temporary Avenida de la Estación area. We cannot predict free spaces.
New temporary area near Avenida de la Estación
The city announced the opening of a temporary 7,048 m² parking area for 31 July 2026, between Avenida de la Estación, Calle Ciudad de Barcelona, Camino del Acequión and the N-332. This is an opening notice, not a live status report.
Vehicle access is from Avenida de la Estación and Calle Ciudad de Barcelona through local streets, not directly from the N-332. The city describes a compacted gravel surface.
Almost 4,000 more spaces are planned
In May 2026, Torrevieja approved four larger park-and-ride sites with 3,937 planned spaces in total. That is useful for future capacity, but it should not be treated as if all those spaces are already open.
Ramón Gallud: rule from 15 September 2026
On working days from 08:00 to 20:00, the maximum stay is two hours. From 20:00 to 08:00 and on non-working days, this two-hour limit does not apply. The old summer evening ban is no longer the current rule. Check the signs at your actual space; the city notice does not explain how to record your arrival time.
A practical visitor strategy
In the centre, it can be easier to park a little farther out and walk the final section. In high summer, leave extra time and do not build your day around finding the perfect space directly by the water.
Is parking free?
The linked city notices for Ramón Gallud and Avenida de la Estación do not publish a tariff. They therefore do not confirm either a charge or permanent free parking. Check the signs and any displayed tariff before leaving your car. A time limit is separate from a parking charge.
