Torrevieja Ecorutas: which guided route should you choose?
The official Ecorutas turn the La Mata nature park into more than a walk. Free guided routes explain the lagoons, birds, vineyards, dunes and the landscape behind Torrevieja’s salt story.

Which routes are available?
The programme includes a general nature route, a birdwatching route, a vineyard route, visits focused on Molino del Agua and summer night walks. Each has a different emphasis rather than repeating the same itinerary.
For a first visit, the general route is the easiest introduction. Birdwatchers should choose the ornithological route, while the vineyard route adds local agriculture to the landscape story.
Remaining 2026 dates
As checked on 16 August 2026, the official programme still lists general routes on 6 September, 4 October and 1 November; bird routes on 24 October and 21 November; and a vineyard route on 26 September. Several night routes also remain in late August.
Places are limited and advance booking is required. If a route no longer appears in the booking system, the tourism office says places are no longer available.
How to prepare
The routes are free. Comfortable footwear, suitable clothing and water are recommended. The official contact is ecorutas@turismodetorrevieja.com and Tourist Info Torrevieja at Paseo Vista Alegre.
