Family holiday

Torrevieja with children: simple good days beat a packed schedule.

A beach, a good park and one special activity are often enough. Torrevieja has several free options, plus seasonal attractions when you want more action.

Which beach with children?

La Mata is useful for a long beach day because it has plenty of space, sports and children's areas, lifeguards and toilets. Los Locos also has a children's play area and stays closer to the city. Playa del Cura is the easiest if you want beach and centre together.

Free parks

Parque de las Naciones covers more than 35,000 m² and includes a large play area with the well-known dragon slide. Parque de la Siesta is more sport-focused: 44,000 m² with play areas, pump track, sports, picnic zones and paths.

More action

Aquópolis Torrevieja is a seasonal option for a full day out. Opening times and prices change, so check the operator before you go rather than relying on an old travel page.

Nature instead of another attraction

The lagoon area and official eco-routes are a quieter alternative, especially with older children. Stay on marked and officially permitted routes in the protected natural park.

Keep the day easy

  • One main activity per half-day is often enough.
  • Plan longer walks around the midday heat in summer.
  • Take beach flags and lifeguard instructions seriously.

Sources & transparency

For current information, we prefer official primary sources and clearly separate plans from changes that are already in place.
